Recovery from Insomnia ( Without medication )




Insomnia - a very neglected state . Usually we think that if we're struggling to sleep , that means we're having insomnia.  But it's not the completed truth.

Symptoms -

1) You struggle to fell asleep .
2)  You wake up at midnight and struggle to sleep again.
3) You feel tired and exhausted all day .
           ( For a regular basis -. At least thrice a week )

There are 2 stages of insomnia .
1) When you're having insomnia for like a month then it's called Acute insomnia .
2) When you're having insomnia over months than its called Chronic insomnia.

There could be so many reasons , why you're having it.  i) Bad diet , ii) Problem in life , iii) Work load , iv ) Stress . Etc .

So here are the things you should do to recover from insomnia.

1) Make a sleeping schedule and stick to it - irregular and unscheduled sleep timing is one of the most important factors in insomnia . Try to make a schedule of sleeping and stick to it.  No matter if you are feeling sleepy or not . Go for it .

2) Have an active day - Make your day productive , do at least 30 minutes to 1hour exercise everyday . This will maintain your health , you will get tired and it will help you to sleep well in the night .

3) Avoid medication - If you're already continuing medication , do consult your doctor that if it's effecting your sleep or not . And do not try to take any medication for sleeping.  It'll effect your body , will make you weak .

4) Reduce stress - In most of the cases stress is the main reason for sleeplessness . So before going to bed , make your body relaxed and take a good bath . It will gradually help .

5) Check your diet - Your diet effects heavily on your sleeping . Do not eat heavy meals before going to sleep . And try to avoid caffeine and alcohol .

6) Phone away - It's necessary that you've to keep your phone away from your body while you're in bed . Even off your alarm and try to have a restful sleep .

Insomnia , effects our mind heavily and health too . It leads us to depression , anxiety , stress . It makes us weak , tired and irritated . In worse cases it can cause heart attack too . So it's necessary to look after it .
